Emirates airline

My personal favorite was sun country airlines.

airdiva
Southwest, then Airtran

Aileen HK
My favourite is JAL (Japan Airline) - attentive / good food!!!!! (going to Japan only.)

Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air are nice and I usually fly CA's flight to almost everywhere from Hong Kong, and take Dragon Air to China.

The best continental airline i can remember being on is Jet Blue. They had t.v.s on the back of the chairs and excellent service. The flight attendents were very nice. I highly suggest not to go on Continental Airlines because my experience with them was horrible. They lacked sufficient blankets and pillows for everyone and I found myself staring at the chair in front of me for 7 hrs because they had tiny tvs and you had to pay for headphones. The flight attendents didn't seem to be very kind or approachable. I felt very claustrophobic on their planes.

Not experienced a good flight on Economy class and I have been on several airlines- some let passengers smoke in non-smoking areas- bad for me as I have an allergy. Some passengers want to let the chair all the way down so you can move or budge half an inch even. My best experience from all aircrafts , service wise- was KLM.

The best service I ever seen, was with Southwest Airlines. I have used other airlines but none compare to the service of Southwest. The employees are excellent, even i thought that the loved working there. Months later I read a book called: "From good to great" and other called "Winning", and saw some videos related to these books and I understand why Southwest was the best. This Airline makes sure that their employees are treated the best and are happy workers. and that's it; having the best team will provide with the best service and the best attention that you will get with Southwest.

Southwest.

I just flew on American Eagle airlines about a mionth ago, and it was very pleasant. It was a 2 hr and 30 min. flight and I was served a complimentry drink and offered food at very reasonable rates. The flight attendants were very helpful during the flight and before landing even directed all passengers to the gate they would need for connecting flights. Very good airline:)

Another Perspective
Southwest is the best by far by my experiences. American is number 2. Airtran isn't bad and Frontier was nice as well.

The best shorthaul US flight I have ever had was on Southwest. Hands down the flight attendants were more friendly, they actaully still seemed happy with their jobs. Every crew is different, and show personality. Even the boring safety speech (which I can recite verbatim on some airlines) is different and fun on Southwest. I had one crew do the whole thing in Dr. Suess rhyme. It was great.

For international flights (US to Europe). The best Ive expeienced was Air France. The food was better than I have had on most airlines. We had individual seat back monitors, and unlike on some airlines, the movies started every 15 minutes. If you missed the start of the movie you could tune in 15 minutes later and it would start over on your screen (slightly distracting when the person next to you caught it 15 minutes before you, but nice nonetheless.) My favorite part about it though was that they had a galley set up in the back where you could go and pour your own drinks if you wanted. Yes, they still came around and offered, and if you asked them to bring it they would, but it was nice to be able to go stand in the back for a while, have a drink or two and just stretch your legs. Oh, another great thing, when you connect through De Gaulle in Paris, if you are running late for you connecting flight, they have a transfer van waiting for you. That van quickly takes you to the terminal, through the airport, and then transports you to your next plane. Because of that I have NEVER missed a connecting flight with them.

Lufthansa, overall. Great meals with silverware, free wine and beer, great flight attendants. We ended up snowed in in Germany, and when we finally made it to Rome we discovered they had lost most of our luggage. 130 people wandering around in Italy waiting for luggage to show up, some NEVER got theirs.
So, Lufthansa (with carry-on bags only)

Right now i would vote for Virgin Atlantic.
I have travelled in almost all airlines except for a few. like japan airlines and south african airways. which i havent travelled in.

u have asked expecially for economy class hence Virgin atlantic is the best...

It would have to be Virgin Atlantic, a very good flight, they hd TVs in the back of each seat, very comfortable, and this was on a 9-hour flight to London

I took Harmony from Vancouver to Toronto. They were excellent. I was so surprised. They're just a new airline with a very small fleet, but the service was great, especially considering it was an economy flight.

Air China and JAL have also been good to me on economy flights.
