Of these, for long-haul, Northwest is the best. Here's why: their new Airbus 330s have the best entertainment systems, with lots (40+?) of movies, games, features that you can start, stop, pause, return at any time. It will keep them well occupied. These aircraft also have 4 seats across in the middle, or 2 on the sides, so you and the 13 year old could sit on the aisles, and the 4 of you on one row, or one row in front of the other on the side. I've flown transatlantic a lot, and Northwest is currently a half-notch above the rest, for inflight comfort, service, and entertainment, and Detroit's new terminal (where most NW flights connect through) is very easy, modern, with good facilities and food options. I think NW is your best choice.

I fly between germany and the states, i always choose northwest, they have great entertainment at no extra cost and comfortable seating on their big planes.

if your going to asia : japan airline
if your going to Europe: British airways
if your going to alaska: alaska airlines
if your going for like a 2-3hr trip and want it cheap: allegiant airline

Depends where youre going. If youre going to North America, then British Airways would be best, or United Airlines.
If youre going to Australia, then Singapore airlines is good, or Qantas.
Anywhere else, then nationalairlines are prob best.

I tend to prefer the foreign airlines for longer flights (leaving from the U.S.). I have flown with British Air, Quantas Air, Air France, Northwest, Iberia and Lufthansa. All of them where pretty good. However, you might want to consider Air France or another airline that has exceptional in-flight entertainment. Air France impressed me because everyone in coach had their own t.v. screen with a choice of several movies and video games. This might be a good way to entertain your boys. Happy Traveling!

In my opinion British Airways is defonetly the best!

If you don't go with British Airways don't use Ryan Air!

Virgin Atlantic or Delta for transatlantic, American or US Air for domestic US.

Gulf Air or Emirates for Middle East

Singapore or Quantas for Australia / Far East.

BA are rubbish. Don't bother!

BMI , Cyprus Airways, KLM , Swissair in Europe.
