Which airline flies from Osaka (KIX) to Los Angeles (LAX) nonstop? |
I'm looking for a one-way ticket from KIX to LAX at the end of July/early august 2009. Every airline i've looked at either has a connecting stop or is ridiculously priced (ie. $3000). How can this be when I'm already booking so early in advance?! And these are such popular/big airports! |

EVA Airlines does fly non-stop between LAX and KIX. As for the ticket price being so high, it does cost more if you fly during the summer. That is when lots of people travel since school is out. See if you can find an Asian travel agency who buys tickets in bulk. Maybe they will have something more affordable. |

First of all, buying one way international tickets are always pricey. You tend to make a booking on the high season period, then it add the weight, even tough you make advanced purchase. Osaka KIX only has 1 direct flight to LA operated by EVA Air code shared with ANA which mean, they monopolize the route. If you want to go over the Pacific with other flights, your most close transit would be via Tokyo or otherwise make a rounding back route via Seoul or Taipei. Try to make bookings on Korean Airlines it seems they have quite a bit cheaper fare around US$2000. Also try JAL though their pricing might be more or less the same as if you book with EVA or ANA. Find a travel agent or directly contact the airlines, don't book through the website, all the pricing would be high since this is a not so popular route.
One last attempt will be by separating the booking of domestic and international flight, but you will have to do a lot of things. Book on domestic flight leaving from Itami airport (ITM) not from KIX to Tokyo Haneda(HND) not Tokyo Narita (NRT) and then book your international flight from NRT to LAX. Domestic fare from Itami to Tokyo Haneda would be a lot cheaper but you have to do land transfer to Narita for your flight connection and check in for your international flight. |

I would be looking at Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Northwest Airlines - they are the most likley to do non stop.
Also look at United, I dont know if they serve that route or not. |

SSS it operates through -NIPPON AIRWAYS AND EVA AIrways but only on alternate days like Tuesday, Friday n Sunday. Same like you many people will book the tkt early so , you are not getteng a starting fare(means lowest fare). Fare depends on the timings, dates and fares are subject to availability.
Thank you. |
