Which airline is best: Delta, American, United (including Ted), Northwest, US Airways, Southwest, or JetBlue?

Also, which has the lowest prices (excluding Southwest and JetBlue)?

It depends on where you are and where you want to go.

But all others considered, I rank your list in this order:

1) American
2) US Airways
3) United (not including Ted)
4) Northwest
--------- (the "suckline") ------
5) Delta
6) Southwest
7) Ted
8) JetBlue

For international travel, I prefer Qantas. Can't believe people still put "Southwest" down as a great airline. Oh well, I guess they like to stand in line and be treated like cattle...

I prefer United. Not sure which is the cheapest. I pay for United because of their service.

cnn360coffeebubbles
All of them are good and bad, it all depends on International or Domestic Flights for me.

For Domestic...

I'd probably say JetBlue is OK (not great not terrible but not real awsome either)...

United is better than JetBlue domestically for sure

If you're asking BEST in terms of International Flights ?

I'd have to go with UNITED

Everyone else could really learn from them.

I like United the best

Southwest....hands down. They consistantly have the best on time record. The least lost baggage and the least complaints

I'm not a big fan of the ancient DC-9's that Northwest flies.

I like Continental domestically, and they still serve meals on their flights (at least from the west coast).

I've never had an issue with Delta. I don't really like how United splits it's coach section in 2 (Enconomy Plus and Economy Minus). Souwthwest seems like a cattle car, JetBlue has issues, and I've had some not so great experiences with American.

The two airlines I think that are best are not listed here: Continental and Midwest Airlines. Of the ones listed, I like Southwest best. I have never had a problem that they could not fix. I have always been impressed with Southwest since they are the only airline to have never reported a financial loss.

Southwest is cheapest, but you get what you pay for and it sucks the most... The guy above me has it right... thats great... "The Suck Line" is classic... but I agree with the list... I might move NW up a spot or two though... their biz class is unmatched... and their A330's are great... For Intl. travel I say NW is best... Domestic, I go with American

T
Definitely Southwest!!

Southwest is the best - not only is their service great, but it so much more relaxed. The flight attendants make jokes, you can pick your own seat, plus their prices are great. To me the other airlines seem so uptight.

As far as prices, you are likely to get the best price depending on which airline has hubs at the airports you'll be flying to and/or from. Spirit Airlines is another decent choice for low prices, but they are primarily east coast.
