I've flown with BA and Virgin and although I think BA are great, Virgin are definately the best. The food, the attention to detail and the on demand movies are by far superior. I flew with Virgin in Jan and am going again in November. The plane we had in Jan was spanking new and absolutely lovely and the service was second to none. |

I always travel from Manchester to the US with Virgin. They are usually pretty well on schedule and the staff are always polite and helpful. If my daughter, who is disabled travels with me, they always go out of their way to help her and ensure she has a good trip. The only downside is some of their aircraft are a little old and past their best, but if they get you there who cares. |

I am BA Cabin Crew and I don't look down my nose at people. I know some do and they tend to be the ones who have been there forever and earn more than some of the pilots!!
I would recommend BA or Virgin both are excellent. Virgin has better entertainment though. |

Virgin Atlantic by a country mile, BA is rubbish unless you are in business class. |

The one which will get you tro your destination. Airlines fly specific routes. So, some companies will fly to certain cities and other to different cities.
USA is big. ( Example. not all companies will fly London to Los Angeles) |

My personal opinion would be British Airways, I've flown long haul in both economy and Club World with no problems at all. The only slight downside is that if you are flying in Economy, some of the cabin crew can be a little "snooty" shall we say and can look down their noses at the "plebs" who aren't in Club or First. That said, this is the minority and I have found the majority of BA Cabin Crew to be great.
The food quality is good, although with any airline in any class, I wouldn't expect too much! In-flight entertainment is pretty reasonable too.
One Airline I would avoid like the plague though is NorthWest - flew from Gatwick to Detroit with them and it was just an awful experience from start to finish, plus they lost my luggage for 3 days! |

I'd go for Virgin in terms of service etc. BA are safe but have lost the edge when it comes to service, reliability etc - no longer the world's favourite airline. |

I just came back from London on Virgin and it was less than a stellar experience - flight attendants were inattentive, a lady next to me waited for an hour for her ginger ale - the steward did apologize each time he passed by (about 4 times) for not bringing it to her. I almost felt like I was flying Easy Jet but with free food and beverage service. Yes, the video on demand function was nice, but it's even nicer on AirFrance and Lufthansa aircrafts (they don't fly from the UK yet). |

BA is the best has the best service and good choice of locations and airports that are central also if you run into any problems such as delays bad weather etc you know you will be covered and re-booked without problems whereas some airlines just leave you to sort yourself out. |
