Which airlines allow visits to the cockpit?

Most likely, but not if the flight is to or from the United States.

It depends on the country as much as the airline. In the United States, you have to jump through many administrative hoops to get permission to enter the cockpit during flight.

However, most flight crews are happy to receive a young visitor to the cockpit while the plane is on the ground, before or after a flight. Feel free to ask to visit, and there's a good chance they'll say yes.

I was allowed in the cockpit of a commercial plane during a flight many years ago and it was absolutely amazing. We were subject to a 20 hour delay and as a treat all the kids visited the captain. Some experience.

All cockpits have an axe in them so if you are thinking about anything silly then don't bother. I'd imagine they will be bigger and uglier than you.

dont try to get in there before the flight, they will say no.

But if you wait until after the flight has landed and you wait back a bit in your seat, then quietly ask a flight attendant if you can get access after the flight.

Even if its say half an hour before landing, have a quiet word so no one else can hear you and I am sure that they may arrange a visit for you - unless there is a code for no passengers what so ever.

All airlines that can fly to the US or western Europe do not allow anyone other than crew in the cockpit. Otherwise, they would not get certification for flying to the US or Europe.

I don't know why you "need" to visit the cockpit. You can call Egypt air and ask. I assume if you board early and are still on the ground, you can ask to meet the pilot and see the cockpit, but they can also say no.

All do. Before the aircraft pushes back from the gate and the cockpit door is still open, ask a flight attendant if you can go upfront and see the cockpit. They will most likely say yes (unless you are right about to pushback). While in flight, the cockpit is restricted. Only while on the ground and at the gate can someone go see it

As far as I know all airlines have a strict code restricting access to the cockpit.

yeah i agree evr since 9/11 everything has changed but the only way you could go in the cockpit is by calling an airline explaining your interest in going inside there
