Which airport has the worst turbulence?
I've found brisbane airport in australia is brutal so is wellington in NZ what do you think is the worst?
For more information about turbulence see below, I wrote an article about fear of flying a while back, and it has quite a bit about turbulence.
Hope this helps :)

Airports dont have turbulence.

I have had a horrific landing into Mykonos Greece as the wind is so strong it makes it very difficult for the pilot to get the plane down...
And when landing into Rio De Janiero a similar experience where the whole plane cheered as soon as we hit the runway

The worst flight I ever had turbulence on was on a flight out of Atlanta on a small regional jet (it was 13 rows - seriously!) in the summer - during a thunderstorm. I actually thought that I might never see the light of day again.
That was the most stressful flight I've ever been on.

umm, like the person above me said airports don't have turbulance.

Turbulence close to the ground is rare but horrible! My worst landing was in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The plane started shaking and leaning right and left as the plane went down and it didn't stop doing that until it hit the runway. It looked like it would hit the runway with a wing. And as it tried to stop it moved from one edge of the runway to the other. Anyway you never know if it's just the whether or an inexperienced pilot.

I would agree with you on that about Wellington, NZ.....
I also had some bad turbulance over in Detroit, MI and flight from Montreal to Toronto... I thought i was going to die!
And I heard Denver A/P Is horrible b/c of the mountains and such.

Las Vegas Mccarran airport would probably be the worst because of all of the heat rising from the desert

San Jose Costa Rica is pathetic with regards to turbulance.... i have travelled quite a bit across the globe and thats the place that still scares me.....
