Which airport is your favorite? Which one have you had a bad experience in?

I mean it terms of ontime, places to eat, friendliness etc. I like Midway in Chicago because once you go through security they have a food court that is nice to eat at an relax before flying. Does any one know which airport is best in Houston?

Dubai is the best I've ever been in, followed by Frankfurt. Both are large, but with good transportation systems so its not a pain to drag your stuff around, generally attractive with comfortable seating and lots to do while you are waiting. in Dubai athere are sometimes even performances and other mini-events to keep you entertained as you wait. I have heard that Singapore's airport even has a wimming pool and a theater, so it may be better, but I havn't been there so I'm not ina position to judge. The worst one in the US is St. Louis, the worst overall in Moscow Sheremetevo. There are two terminals, Terminal 1 is OK, and what most people see. Terminal 2 is a five minute's drive away, and if you have to transfer flights it is very difficult to get to. You have to drag your luggage on a bus or pay mafiosi taxi drivers 50 dollars for the drive, there are no luggage carts or porters, so if you have more than one suitcase even just walking is a real trial, if you want to take a bus from th terminal, or even an honest taxi, they don't exist, excess baggage charges are like another ticket, customs harasses you and most of it shuts down at night. Oh, and it is not the most attractive building and not in the best of shape. Flight announcements are hard to understand and there are not enough arrival and departure boards, getting to the check-in area is a real hassle and physically challenging if you have large suitcases and the dining options are restricted to a feww poor cafes. Domodedevo, the domestic airport in Moscow is so much better than Sheretevo 1, and Sheremetevo 2 is the hands down the worst airport that I encountered outside of Afghanistan.

Singapore Airport is incredible.

Lots of good shopping.....It even hasa gym! I had a layover and went for a jog.

It is like a little world in there. Lots to do.

OAK, SFO, LAX, & BUR
-They're both easy to deal with and they are beautifully built.

GDL my least favorite...not much to do there. But I do love the city of Guadalajara.

I liked the Denver airport when I went thru it a couple of years ago.

I HATE the Atlanta airport. One of these day, I'm going to get banned from there.

amsterdam is my fav - few reasons why.
1st - it usually means i am on a klm flight
2nd - if i have a gap between flights its really easy to go into amsterdam for a few hours.
3rd - the airport is always clean
4th - great shops
5th - decent eating area with wide selection of food (compared to most airports ive been to)
6th - staff are really friendly & helpful
7th - i know my way around schipol

my worst airport had to be Hong Kong
1st - had about a 6 hr delay (and were not even supposed to be going to hong kong). the flight was meant to be from perth to singapore to heathrow then on to glasgow. at check in they changed it to perth - hong kong - singapore - heathrow - glasgow.
2nd - i found the airport understaffed as all staff seemed to be in a hurry.
3rd - shops were not happy when i wanted to spend cash instead of using my credit card

New York's La Guardia has really great food - people who aren't even travelling go there to eat. I was in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and the airport has dirt floord, worms and bugs on the dirt bathroom floor, and the cockaroaches are pretty large and intimidating.

I like the Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok Airport. It's crew always nice, and the plane there never delays. What I hate is the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta. It plane always delays and normally, over an hour.
