Northwest and the reason is that they will let women with short skirts or men with obscene shirts fly on the planes and not like that family airline like Southwest.

Qantas and Singapore

They are simply head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to onboard entertainment and dining.

British Airways, if you are going international. They take care of you so well. I have heard from friends about losing luggage, but I have never experienced this. The food is good, the people are friendly and polite. Lots of in-flight entertainment, they keep you well-fed also. Clean bathrooms (they don't reak like some I've been on). Also, you get your own fresh blanket, eye cover, and socks! I have no complaints.

Singapore Airlines... the number of recognitions worldwide that they have recieved speak for itself.

Indotraveller
Singapore Airlines and Emirates - both receive accolades for exceptional inflight service, food and entertainment.

Singapore Airlines has consistently offered superior service. Again they won the best airline for inflight service. They are constantly ordering new aircraft so their fleet is young. The carrier is extremely safe to fly on (only accident was in Taiwan and it was not entirely the airline's fault). The flight attendants are courteous and go through a rigorous training session before they are allowed to serve passengers. SIA also flies to a lot off different locations and is a partner of the Star Alliance so even if you didn't fly SIA but flew one of their partner carriers, you can still earn SIA mileage.

Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, ANA are also great airlines to fly with and so are British Airways, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic and Air France.

go! airlines - They have cut the cost of traveling inter-island in Hawaii by as much as 70% which enables people that have never traveled or people that want to visit family, be able to do all this. They are Hawaii's new low fare airline.

In the US Midwest Airlines is consistently rated as one of the best. They offer more leg room than most and have leather seats on most of their airplanes. And you can't beat the warm cookies. Basically it's like flying business class for a leisure class price.

I like Frontier. The staff is friendly and they have Directv available on all of their flights. Makes it go by much quicker in my opinion. They are also cheaper than United in most cases.

Emirates is the best world wide.

In different countries you have the diff types... Mine is Jet Airways and I always travel by Jet and nowadays by KingFisher.

Lufthansa and BA are also great crafts. I love the Boeing and when you fly on a Boeing you enjoy it too much

Lufthansa

None of the US carriers even come close to the German efficiency!

For American carriers, I recommend NONE. They all suck; FAT stewardesses, you have to pay for anything you request (food and beverage), and the stewardesses are OLD. And these carriers don't care about your comfort while on-board.

For non-American carriers, I recommend (in alphabetical order only): Asiana, British Airways, Emirates, Japan, KLM, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Quantas, Singapore, and Thai Airways. The stewardesses are babes (although on BA and Lufthansa, you sometimes get fat and old stewardesses if you fly between Europe and N.A.), the food and beverages are free (but probably built into the ticket price) but refills are free, and the stewardesses are young (under 30 is the norm). The service is usually excellent to superb (Thai Airways) and they actually cater to your in-flight needs. And they entire crew is friendly to ALL passengers.
