Which is the cheapest website for booking flights - expedia?

Expedia, other websites or a travel agent?

Need to book a return flight London - Johannesburg.

Generally I find that the cheapest deals are to be found on the websites of the respective airlines. I tend to use Expedia to find the cheapest airline, then go directly to that airline's website where, usually, the fare will be cheaper than the Expedia quote. For direct flights, your options are South African Airways or British Airways.
www.flysaa.com
www.ba.com

I found Travelocity a bit cheaper than Expedia.

I've NEVER found expedia.co.uk to be cheap! Try some others like travelocity.com; cheaptickets.com, opodo.co.uk, etc. Also check travel agents because they sometimes have good last-minute deals.

nuttin'fancy
Check them all out, because I've found that some sites are cheaper than others.
Expedia, Travel.com,Kayak.com,Lowfares.com, Cheapoair.com

Yeah Expedia is good and also Opodo. Lastminute .com too can be good for a bargain. Bon voyage!

One issue with using the discount brokers is that they will sell you on an oversold flight without a guaranteed seat assignment. Go to the airlines' website direct, which will offer internet savings as well as guaranteed seat assignment.

Stan
There is one site that takes all flight-booking-sites' search results and compares all the prices from each site, and tells you if you should wait a bit to book, or book now. It was very handy, and the results were pretty good too. Unfortunately, having not looked at it for a while, I forgot the site! Maybe someone here knows what I'm talking about?

I personally use Travelocity and Expedia.

www.ebookers.com. Use it for all my flights that depart from UK. Very handy and cheap

kymhayde2000
cheaptickets.com usually has some good prices. If you go to Yahoo Travel, I believe they search through all of the web sites to find you the cheapest flights.

It all depends on where you need to travel. try emailing info@blue-skies-travel.co.uk.

The cheapest flight will be indirect flying through and changing planes in Europe.
