You want either aisle or window... never a middle seat.

From the chart, For a first choice, I would recommend Row 29 (A or K), Row 28 (BCDGH or J) (for extra leg room) and anything from row 25 and forward (larger seats and more leg room).

Other than those, aisle or window.

Even though most people like to sit by the window, I wouldn't recommend it. On long flights there's nothing to see out of the window, except when taking off and landing and it's not worth the discomfort the rest of the flight.

It depends a lot on the type of airplane, of course, the big ones are far more comfortable.

In any case, I'd choose a seat by the aisle because you can stand up and move when you get tired, when you need to go to the restroom, etc, without bothering others.

28C - 28H would be my choices. Or the others on that row. Probably taken already.:-(

It is a proven fact that in a crash, you stand the best chance of getting out alive if you are less that six seats from an emergency exit.
My favourite seat is the emergency exit seat as you have more leg room.
I always seem to have some idiot in front who flops his seat back in my lap and takes up the room I have paid for.
Therefore I always go for an exit seat.

It all depends on how tall you are. If you need legroom, sit in the bulkhead. Just remember that your seat arms won't go up there, if you are flying with someone you know. It really doesn't matter so much. Try to be closer to the middle of the plane as the back is pretty noisy. The bathrooms stink and there are usually alot of people hanging out around them.

I would tell BA to stick it where the sun doesn't shine... There abysmal.
We flew, a party of 8 last Sept. to Florida with BA. I booked the seats all upgraded 11 months before the flight and included an extra payment for specific seats in the front row to include a bassinette for my 1 year old grand son. On arrival at the airport and after check in we went to the plane and were seated all over the place. My wife and I being 7 rows and 5 seats apart. My son and his son were 3 rows back and his wife 4 seats away.
To cut a long story short, I had the letter from BA confirming our extra payment and the front row seat and refused to budge until the seating was resolved. The people in the seats we had booked, paid for there seats six days before the flight and paid extra for the seats they had. We were told by senior cabin crew that we either took these seats or would have to leave the plane. Fortunately a couple in the front row gave up there seats for my son and his son and wife and another couple swapped with my wife and I. On this flight we were treated like out casts and even had our over head cabin call buttons turned of. The crew on this flight all sat in 1st class drinking almost the whole flight and the economy section passengers had to keep traipsing the length of the plane to get any kind of service.
After our holiday, we complained to BA and via the travel agents. Today.... 14 months on BA still refuse to engage in any conversation with us or our travel agents.
DO not use them and certainly if you do use them do not believe you can 'choose' seating.
We now fly Virgin whose service is far superior.

Emergency seats as there is no one in front of you because of the emergency door, thought they will ask if you are strong enough and fit enough to open the door in a real emergency.

Otherwise i personally like the ones at the very rear of a section near the toilet as the children/babies are at the front rows of each section for the use of the cots.

toffo3619
If you can afford First Class you'll have lots of room otherwise ask for the emerency window seats, they have more leg room than the other enconomy seats.

28 B or C or H or K 9

But I'm not sure you can pre book them, you may have to ask when you check-in at the airport.

Unfortunately you cannot always determine the seat furthermost from children since you do not know when selecting a seat. However, you can ask the attendant to relocate you once boarded if seats are available. I would suggest an isle seat so that you can stretch your legs a little better. You can also get up and down more easily. Windows usually do not provide much viewing except take off and landing. Besides, you have to crawl over people when you need to get up. Exit rows and behind the buck head usually have more leg room also. Do not sit near the toilets. The toilets attract a lot of traffic. Besides, you do not want to hear the noises and eventually it will smell.

Well, sit where ever you want!

Man, but let me tell you something!

First Class Is Awesome! You get to do anything you like, you also get the food first, how lucky is that!

WORLD CLASS is brilliant too, the only thing is, I don't think they let you lye down, maybe, not sure!

Go for first class or world class, they're brilliant!

hope this helps you!

Riz!

I would go for the seat furthest away from any children or old people. I know that's not much use really, but from my experience on long distance flights, it's much better to stay well clear of the kids and old folks... especially the kids.
