With my girlfriend (I'm in Arizona, she is in New York) We often either split it (works the best IMO) or I often help her pay for it (I'm a frequent flyer, so I have lots and lots of miles)
I think the best way however is to split it right down the middle, but this only works if you each visit each other. Flying is fun and all, but if she has to come and fly out to see you every time, it will often get tiring and exhausting.
Also, a lot of it has to do with who has money. If you are both in college, well, work something out so that you two don't blow all your money away. Flying isn't cheap, so just be wise.
If you are gona end up paying $500+ for a flight, sometimes you gotta consider it to not be worth it, no matter how badly you want to see each other. |
