I most certainly congratulate him, that was one of the most amazing landings I have ever seen. He is one of the best in the industry and if it were a different pilot the result may have been different. As a pilot I don't know if I would be able to do what he did, we are trained, but landing a plane in a river is not something that every pilot has to do. |

I deffinatly would, although he was just doing what he was trained to do in an emergency he acted very quickly from trying to land in NJ to the soft waters. Id love to get an autograph and picture |

"Hi"...I for one do !........It's funny , Pilots make a lot of salary over a year but I think now that they really get that money for only two or 3 minutes of absolutely exceptional and professional flying out of that whole year ....and that gentleman was worth every penny and then some for those terrifying 2 or 3 minutes ! *S*
Kudos to his co-pilot and cabin crew also ! (Thumbs up from me )
This was a great and very thoughtful question and I was glad to answer ! *S* (Michael C...) |

What an incredible event. I am Flying US Air from Chicago to Charlotte and on to Nassau next month and feel comfortable knowing that they have that quality of staff on their planes. |

I will!
This guy did a hell of a job...he needs a national day of recognition. This captain had genuine concern for all souls on board. He even went through the plane TWICE to make sure everybody was off. Kind of a stark contrast to the bozo that bailed out of the Marine jet over a densely populated San Diego neighborhood. |
