They are full of Sh*t. You can if you like. |

Never heard that one before? Maybe they didnt want you to see the two guys pushing it down the runway trying to bump start it. |

i have flown dozens of times and i have never been told to shut the blinds in fact it is a rule of flying that they must be up and stewards check them before take off |

That's weird, because when I fly they say the opposite, and you must have the window blind open for take off, and not closed! It's obviously a complicated safety measure... |

I have flown many times and have never heard that |

Rubbish I always look out of the window |

Got that one wrong darling !!!
Shutters must remain open !.. on take off, because if there is an emergency, the crew have to be able to check out the windows for engine fire etc, and to be able to advise the captain which exits to use on crash landing. |

This must be a lie You are CERTAINLY allowed To watch us take off and Land.Hope this helps! |

Never come across that when I've been on a plane, maybe some flight companies just have it as part and parcel of their rules. |

I lived in spain for 3 year nd half years i travelled 4 times every year back to UK for a holiday and the rules were always the same Open for take off Shut for landing which suited me fine as i luv lukin out the window when takin off but hate it when landin incase u crash into the floor i ave visions of the plane stickin half out of the runaway lmao..... im random =] |

Thats odd because on my last flight, the shutter was up during take off and i was looking right out the window. |

I have only known this during take off and landings on night flights.
Did you take off at night?
I think it has something to do with reducing the amount of light shown from the plane whilst ascending while there are other aircraft close by. |
|

never really heard of that rule, i know i colse em cause of the bright light |

I was allowed to look outside the window when my flight took off. I don't know why you weren't allowed to. |

You aren't? I do all the time. I think it looks amazing. |

That usually occurs on night flights, during take off and landing
They dim the interior lights, so your eyes become accustomed to the lower light levels. This is so that if you have to evacuate the plane in an emergency, your eyes are already closer to the darkness outside, and takes them less time to adjust... eliminating night blindness, and enabling you to react outside the plane quicker |

coz they dont want to let you see all the illegal immigrant stowaways they run over as they try to clamber on for a free ride to FREEDOM! |

No idea - the time's I've been on flights they haven't done this... |

Never heard of this before....just flown back from New York, but I always look out of the window. I like to see where I am going...haha |
|

Very happily married.
 |
I think you'll that was illegal, it is a breach of safety regulations to have the blinds closed during take off and landing. |
|

I'm not a pilot but they have there reasons...i've flew all over the world....and most of my flights i've been able to have em open
just open them anyway....the stewards should be strapped in anyway!!!! |
|

Ryan G
 |
Yeah they do ask you to do this, as with landing.
Interesting question. |

its because the flight controller is so pig ugly if he see's any pretty faces he get's upset so they make you hide your faces |
