They really are more then waitresses in the sky. People have this perception that they're only there for their comfort...but please don't forget the safety. They are trained to be alot of differant things in a TINY space. They have less of a stick when given the respect they deserve.

lesaber251
So they can stand up straight in the narrow airplane aisles.

the older attendants who have seniority are still on board & their pay has been cut to almost nothing & they have to take crap from a lot of people...

Flight attendants act as the face and personification of the airlines. As air travel becomes more uncomfortable and unreliable, attendants take the brunt of people's frustrations. I'd guess they're just tired of the BS they receive all the time.

Infinte Baller
u try goin on a plane everyday lol

Tracy, you brought up a good question. I believe I know the answer, but to convey it is difficult. First, back in the day, this WAS the pick of Careers. Not a job, or work. There is a definite difference. It breed competion. Flying used to be held as something important. It took someone SPECIAL, to make you feel special. Treated like SOMEBODY. It WAS the limo of the SKY. You were, and are important. After all, you've picked their airlines. You paid, and deserve it. OK. That was then. Times were good. Travel agents were even used, and sometimes necessary. NOW, up to speed. 2007. Age of computer. AS great and fastastic as they are, they put some big professions out of work. The machine that color matched your drapes, to your exact drapes, wasn't always done by computers. People did it. Back up to present. Goober, the backyard junkyard human, can now fly, thanks to him making his own computer traveling. If I DEALT with that, day after day, I'd put a popsicle stick up my bum, before I signed, or clocked into work in flight. Each coin has 2 sides. Thanks for accepting my rant. I'm in line, holding my shoes and socks, to get on the plane. They gotta deal with this too. Their already playing with a stacked deck. Peace.

They have sticks up their butts, and Captains up their other crevices!! Working for an airline, they think they are goddesses..even the male ones too! I personally make fun of them when they walk because they drag their bags, and they bend their elbows at a 90 degree angle..they look like such deusche bags!!

When I was an inflight crewmember, I didn't care..I just did it for the flight bennies

dramaqueen
i wondered that same thing.. especially the ones on SOUTHWEST ailrines.... BOOOOOOOOO
