Well,, its there job... not really, don't no, could be saftey requirements. hehe
Maybe they do it for a laugh and to annoy us, because really all were on the plane for is to get to another country not learn how to put a flipping seatbelt on.
And remember,,, not all monkeys are good monkeys =) |

Legal issues. If there is one person on the plane who has incorrectly buckled their seat belt, and for some reason or other they end up injured because of it, they could sue the airline for not telling them how to do it properly. |

Because some people aren't smart enough to do it correctly. The flight attendants show you the correct way to fasten yourself in. |

It is required by the law - I am sure, even in this day and age, that there is usually someone who has never flown on a plane that needs the extra instruction. |

Like the majority of uneducated English people, don't listern or bother reading signs, so if they didn't remind you all, and there was something wrong, these idiots would sue, "coz no one told me!" |

I've actually seen one guy make a knot with the two pieces of belt instead of using the buckle. The highlight of the seatbelt show is the buckle release. That part really is tricky. There aren't too many common buckles that release this way. Certainly not car seatbelt buckles. |

Actually they are not, if the "you" that you refer to as being told, is the same "you" that is sitting down.
In fact the cabin attendants in a passenger plane make an announcement to all the passengers on board before takeoff, and this is a statutory requirement, made regardless of whether or not they are already belted up. The announcement goes on to explain how to perform this task, and includes some other safety information.
"You" don't have to take it personally!

try to keep in mind there are some first time fliers who are so very nervous that even tieing their shoe is a job and a half.
So it's info for those who are that, also maybe someone from another country, where seat belts may not exist or be used, remember these also look different from the ones you see in cars.
Sometimes people are so sidetracked from safty it's a polite reminder to buckle up even though your in the air. |

they are taught to tell everyone about the safety procedures as the can be people that have never been on an aircraft before. If they don't and there is an problem they could be sued do to negligence |

Silly question anyway
Most people don't even bother to attached their seatbelt, they just seat and wait. It is just a GENERAL reminder, so in case of a major problem, the iodiot whom did not follow "order" cannot really sue the airline by saying " I did not know" or "I did not read it anywhere", etc....
Just don't take it personally. |

Because those nasty stuck up flight attendants don't want you to get out of your seat while they're doing their overpaid waitressing. Also they don't want you to ruin their perfect hairstyles and make-up when you go flying out of your seat due to a 500ft drop in rough turbulence.....hope those weren't too boring! :)
Loved that one Slater! |

For every warning out there, there's always been a dumb butt that's done it before. So if they show ya how to put it on, that rules out the fact that that one incompetent person knows how to put it on. |
