That drives me up the walls, as an ex - air hostess it was one of my pet hates, i dont know why people do it but it is really dangerous,if the plane stops suddenly and you hurt your self you will find that the company will not be held liable for it.
On one flight a woman kept getting up and down on take off, the purser shouted over the tannoy, ''madam in the 6 row please SIT DOWN'' she was so imbarrassed she didnt move the rest of the flight !!!! dont even get me started on handbags on your lap LOL |

I agree TOTALLY. My wife and I laugh all the time at these lunkheads. It is totally irrespective of the type of flight: local, short haul, long haul.
Then they have to stand really awkwardly until the steps come then RUN LIKE BLAZES to the luggage carousel and stand there for ages.

same reason people do it on buses, same reason people speed, run red lights and drive on the footpaths they think it'll get 'em somewhere faster by stressing about it but it doesn't do ****! |

Yeah, why is that? I don't participate in the rush. I just sit there for a few extra minutes. Really, what's the hurry? |

You are so right. You can almost hear them thinking me first..me first like children.Roger Th answer made me laugh about waiting at the carousel.People simply don't like waiting and queueing or maybe they are all gasping for a ciggy. |

Because they are stupid. There can be no other answer especially as there is no way off until the door opens and the link or ladder is in place. |

Because most of then travel like this every day to get to work, usually on the train. they are scared that the transport will set off again with them still on it and they will have missed their stop!!!
The thing is that no one gets to move to the hotel til everyone is ready, so there is no point.
Don't let them get to you. It means that you are in holiday mode, and include the flight as a part of that, whilst these plonkers have yet to get into mode!!!
Go enjoy the flight!! |

That is a question that I always ask myself to.They say it in different languages but still the people can`t listen. |

I used to think the same thing, until I realized I prefer aisle seats. Getting up as soon as the seatbelt light is off is ok (not before!). I like to get up right away--not so much because I'm in a hurry--but to allow people on the inside seats to collect their things from the overhead bin, so disembarking goes more quickly and smoothely. Imagine if everyone had to wait for every person ahead of them to stop and get there stuff, then move up the aisle--it would take at least twice as long. If the flight is late, and connection time is shortened, people want any little edge they can get to make a connection. To infrequent leisure travellers, I guess it doesn't really make much difference. |

The same thing happens when rows are called in the departure lounge, everyone gets up at once to stand in line, not me i sit and wait, i hate queues, the less time i have to spend on a cramped plane the better! |

people always think that they can then get off like a bus or a train, they are just impatient, but i have to admit i do the same, its just to make sure that when the doors do finally open that i am ready to go and queue up for my other luggage!! |

Because they're idiots! And it's dangerous. If anything happened before the plane was on stand with the doors open and everyone needed to evacuate all those people and bags would be blocking the "aisles and exits". |

becuase they are impatient and they want to get off the plane. |
