Planes need air to give lift to the wings.
Oh yes, and stars are very, very far away. Big, but far.
Planes, small but close. |

Planes don't fly into stars because stars are too high for the planes to reach. |
|

Moira

cause stars are thousands of feet higher in the air. they aren't even in the air they're in space, planes don't fly in space only spaceships.....and the occasional UFO-lol |

Stars are millions of lightyears away.. |
|

Because stars are millions of light years away. Planes on the other hand are only 30000 feet from the earth. It's like wondering why birds don't bump into fish. |
|

milko

because they do not go anywhere near them |

In 1604 Johannes Kepler flew a plane into a star and it caused a supernova. That was the last time that it ever happened because the FAA passed a rule that all planes have to be equipped with an S.A.S. or "Star Avoidance System."
Because of this, there have not been any supernovas in our galaxy since 1604. |

Planes can't fly that high. We cannot even reach the nearest star with our space ships, so how could a plane fly billions of miles and bump into one? Think about what you are asking before you ask it and it might stop you from sounding silly. |

Because they are not spaceships |

planes fly at an average of 35,000 feet, stars are a lot higher!! |
|

Well I can't answer this question scientifically like the above guy but I guess the simplest answer is that planes stay in orbit around the earth within the earth's atmosphere and stars are way off, millions and more miles away. |

The nearest one is 150,000,000Km away. |

Because they can't get clearance. |

The trigonomic ratios of the geometric angles prove that it isn't possible.

The stars only come out at night so daytime flights are no problem.
At night the stars dodge them. |

Bob The Builder

Because stars are in outer space, planes are not.. |
|

craigb

do u know how far away the nearest star is?? |
|

andy c

because they have pilots that can steer round them stupid. |

Planes dont fly high enough, and dont forget the nearest true star is our sun. |
|

Justsyd
|
Because they don't fly high enough to do so. |
|

Because there is no planes that can carry that much fuel to fly that far. Plus you special aircraft to fly in that atmosphere. Normal aircraft probably just float in the galaxy once they get out of the earth's atmosphere. |
