Because the yanks spent the best part of the last century financing terrorism all over the world and then came 9/11, now they are so paranoid because the chicken finally came home to roost. |

I have no idea but reckon so will get compensation. |

If this were to happen in some third world country such as my country, there would be such an uproar about human rights being violated and trampled on, and a girl's body being violated. But in the USA, they just excuse it as justifiable because of 9/11. It's an outrageous excuse to humiliate a person because she is different. I bet the men were sniggering as they handed her the pliers. |

Dude!Sweet!

That's absolutely ridiculous. She could file a sexual harassment claim!
In the future when traveling by air, stick to plastic body jewelry. |

ridiculous is an under statement but she will walk out smelling like a million dollars rose tsa really needs to be more sensitive to personal issues of this sort |

Because the male TSA agents wanted to see her boobs. When you consider that they let her board with her belly button ring still in (and that they were snickering during the removal), I think it's fairly obvious that this was done for the view, as opposed to any actual security risk.
They could have inspected the bra without having the nipple rings removed. |

I thought this was in Denver, Colorado USA. Thats because she can't go through a medal detector. I don't know but it is very stupid. I heard she is going to take them to court and she got a lawyer!! |

Hi!! If you think about the situation, the nipples would not be showing under a garment and a bra, and going through the scanner it would register some form of metal on that person. To be sure, and for the safety of all concerned a further inspection had to be carried out. Hence the removal of the nipple rings. the person concerned just did not think in advance of the consequences.
I feel sorry for the people caught in the hold up. |
|

Everyday's the same again...

"the last time i checked, the nipple was not a weapon..." hee hee, who did they interview? |

Probably because someone with nipple rings loves to show them off and is making a federal case about nothing. |

I suspect it wasn't because they could endanger anyone on the flight - it's more likely they were concerned she was concealing more than just breasts in her bra! The only way to make certain was to take out the nipple rings when she went through security. |
