Dicky Snapples Hides Apples

Will an airline allow me to travel dressed as a beetroot?

I am flying to Frankfurt next week, to take part in a play about healthy eating. My costume is a beetroot, which I won't have time to change into before I arrive (very tight schedule, not my fault). Do airlines have objections to people wearing four foot wide, rubber beetroot costumes?

You had better call the airline first. Wouldn't it be better if you simply changed into you bbetroot costume when you got to the airport? Then you could still get to your play on time and wouldn't have to 'beat' the traffic!
(Sorry, just a little fun there!)
Besides, Don't you think you would look a little odd flying in that getup? If I saw someone dressed like that, I'd probably think they're looney!

Depends where your going - some countries do not allow the importation of foodstuffs.

georgiabanksmartin
I hope not. I would change when I got to the airport.

Ring the airline, let them know the situation and ask them. As long as they can check your ID and the seatbelt will still fit I would guess no. Watched an episode of Airport couple of years back and they allowed McWomble to travel as himself (they checked his ID in the toilets as to not upset the kids).

Big Jimi
Yes,just no praying aloud !!

?
No, but, 4 foot wide!? They may make you purchase a second seat!

starlet108
You'd better hope so - otherwise you'll be in a bit of a pickle xxx

Four feet wide...you will be paying for 2 seats.?
....or the person squashed up next to you will have something to say about it.
And don't forget...you gotta get the seat belt to fit.
Very doubtful they will let you get on the plane.

Be sure to fly first class - back in economy you may end up being the meal.

happy trucker
All depends if your pickled or not .

mikem33607
As long as your flying a direct beet route

Yea i reckon they would as you would take up to many seats, youll probaly have to think of another way.

Pixie Blue Bell
What flight will you be on, I gotta see this. If they let you, you could do the inflight entertainment.

Tou poor thing - you'll be a bit uncomfortable during the flight. I'd check with the airline that you are flying with to see what they say..
