Will the airline people treat me like a baby?

Hi I am 13 and will be flying by myself soon and i was wondering if they will do stuff like escort me off the plane, Keep watching me, give me a dumb sticker and that kind of stuff. I have been on many planes and i know what to do and i am not nervous at all. Will they only do that if they were asked to by my parents or something? Thanks=)

They will probably be there to help you as much as possible, but I'm sure they will realize fairly quickly that you can take care of yourself. Just don't act like a baby and they won't have a reason to treat you as one. From the way you've worded your question, you don't seem to be someone who would come off as immature.

Have a great trip!

It's not your parents. Regulations say they have to escort you on and off the plane, and be under supervision. Probably just so they can charge more.

But if you don't want the dumb sticker can I have it? I'm 42, but still love that kind of stuff.

Well, not like a baby, my daughter has flown w/ out me and she did not feel intimated at all - you just wear a tag around your neck letting them know at a glance that you are a minor traveling alone - they just make sure you get were you are going - It's their job

DONT WORRY THEY WONT TREAT U LIKE A BABY.
THEY WILL OBVIOUSLY SEE THAT YOUR NOT A YOUNG CHILD.

You state "I have been on many planes." In that case, you should have seen that young travelers are usually treated professionally: help is offered where needed or requested, but the traveler is treated in a mature manner if the traveler acts maturely. Maturity includes knowing when help would be useful.
Relax and enjoy the flight.

No, sry I fly a ton by myself and yes you have to wear a red and white sticker that says Delta Airlines (which is better than the pin they used to give you that always went off in security). You are going to be the first one on the plane and the last one off. During the duration of the flight you just get extra attention which is actually kinda nice its like having your own personal flight attentant. Enjoy your trip!

Usually it depends i mean i've never flown by my self before but i know others that have ... like 15 year olds.. and yeah ... so I wouldnt really think they'd ask or anything ... you can tell them that you've flown before ... and about the escort thing , i think you have to ask them about that.... But um, i hope you have alot of fun and they dont treat you like a lil kid. :]

thats funny actually. i was 13 when i first flew by myself. theyre was supposed to be a person waiting for me. to take me to get on the next plane. but there wasnt a damn person theyre. your better off finding everything on your own. just ask a worker in the airport staff.

For security and safety reasons, because your are a minor, you will still be escorted by flight attendants or a gate agent until you are released to your gaurdian at your destination.
As far as the sticker goes, not all airlines carry stickers for minors.

I don't really think they would... maybe they would just check up on u and ask if u really need anything or something, but i dont really think they would treat you like a baby...
