Will you take a plane as usual?

Getting on a flight is going to be harder now with recent events. So, have your travel plans changed, or will you fly as usual?

im a flight attendant, I have no choice. I have to be brave for people who arent. I get asked alot of questions like that, But I stick with the "This will never happen to me" attitude, so I can continue to get my paycheck.

There are thousand and thousands of flights coming in and going out everyday. The stuff you hear on the news are the fatalities and the threats. Less than 1% of passengers die on an aircraft.
People just think that it happens alot, but if you look at it. It really doesnt. EVERYTHING is on the news. What if they put on the news every flight that went well?

Its nothing to worry about.

Mr Curious
I remember boarding a plane and people looking at me like I'm going to kill them; it was better when everyone thought I was a taxi driver or 7/11 guy. That fucked with my mind real bad because I was a zealous Soldier who wanted badly to be a career Army officer. I was everything I should be, West Point cadet, good character, polite, decent shot, good combative skills, etc., except the right skin color and religion (or lack of religion). I felt alienated and betrayed. I remember once using my driver's license instead of my military ID and caught some hassling until I popped that ID out quick. Now that I left the Army (something made me lose that zeal) and don't have my military ID, I don't think I'll fly anywhere. I'm sticking to NYC, where it's safe unless the polar ice caps melt.

No changes to travel plans - got flights booked into and out of Heathrow (UK), Manchester (UK), Schiphol (Netherlands), and Kotoka (Ghana).

Unless the flights are cancelled I won't be making any changes - I decide what I do and where I go, not the terrorists.

I have to fly next week, but unfortunately, it looks like I'll be checking my luggage since I don't plan to travel without shampoo and toothpaste. Ugh.

Don't usually take them anyway, but this wouldn't stop me if I was supposed to fly.

I dont c why u shouldn't fly. If u die u die. I'm not afraid of the terrorists at all. Whats the chance of you being on the flight that has terrorists on it? And if there are terrorist just beat them up because its nearly imposible to get a weapon on a plane.

Pat
Now will be a great time to fly--- no crowded planes ...I flew right after 9/11 and had a row of seats for sleep---plane was like 60% empty....woo hoo.....

Ashley M
I'll fly as usual. It's worth the hassle to see a new place. Once you are on vacation, everything you did to get there makes it all worth it anyway.

I have a business trip coming up, and I will fly as usual. I just might have to be angrier than normal due to stupidity of the security staff.

I will fly as usual for 2 reasons.

1. For work... can't abandon my clients.
2. I won't let terror rule my life!

I haven't flown anywhere in a few years, before 9/11 even, but if I needed to fly somewhere, I wouldn't change plans. It'll take a little longer, but it's for safety. We have to remember that.

I was supposed to go away for Labor Day weekend, but I've rethought it. Too much of a pain. I think I'll just relax at home instead of trying to fly.

I am flying to NYC on Saturday morning. I'll fly as usual, but with checked baggage so I can have my makeup and stuff.
