It all depends.
A window if it's going to be a longer flight, so I can lean my head against the window and sleep or enjoy the view.
An Aisle if it's a shorter flight, or if your first flight is delayed slightly so you can be off the plane just a little quicker and make your connecting flight.
A middle only if I know the person next to me. If I'm traveling alone aisle or window only. You never know who's going to be nex to you!
Happy travels! |

Window.
1. You get to see the views.
2. I'll have something to lean against to make my sleep more comfortable.
3. My hand held GPS will not pick up signal unless almost pressed against window (some airlines don't allow you to use your GPS on flight - ask first!)
4. I'd rather disturb the person in the isle seat when I have to visit the bathroom than be disturbed by the person in window seat when they need to go! |

Window for the view
Isle for the get-up-and-go...to the bathroom
Center for warmth
The real difference is the length of the flight. For an hour or so, any seat would work. For an 8 hour trip, now that would make a defnite difference in which case, I think I'd take the window and a pillow to put my head on and fall asleep staring out the window. :o) |

I also like the window seat because i like looking outside and seeing whats there.
On long flights, i prefer aisle seats because i hate sitting forever. I need to get up and move around once in awhile i dont really want to bother someone. |

My preferences are:
Small flight: Window
Long flight: Aisle
Since I can only afford economy or coach, in case of a long flight every once in a while I like to take a small walk up and down the aisle just keep my legs from stiffening up. Also sometimes I get to stretch my legs outside my seat which I cannot do if I'm in the middle or in the window seat. Access to the restrooms is also easy.
And of course, its easy to stop a stewardess who is passing by and ask for a glass of water if I'm thirsty without actually disturbing the folks sitting next to me. :-)
But in a way I guess its a personal choice. When I travel by train I definitely go for the window seat. |

I always perfer a window seat.
I would rather look at the view (when there is one) rather than people walking up and down the isle.
I usually have my baby or now toddler on my lap so can't get up to the washroom anyhow with no one to look after him. Air hostess are crap - they do nothing for you. Won't even heat up a baby's bottle!
Perfer to have my head against the window for a snooze if and when I can too. |
