Ms. Roxie

Would you rather be chased down the street by a herd of stampeding hippopotami...?

... or sit next to someone with really bad BO on a flight?

What if the Hippos had BO, that would be even worse. What if you had to sit next to a herd of stamping hippopotami with BO on a flight, that would be terrible, but it would make for a good film.

"Stampeding BO Hippos On A Plane". I'd watch it.

Or worst of all, be chased by a herd of people with B.O.

Say What?
Tough choice! I love games of chase and I defy anyone to have BO worse than my dog breath! Plus if it's that bad I could always fart - they'll only blame me for the small anyway!

Walter W. Krijthe
Hippopotamuses (hippopotami is also accepted as a plural form by the OED), also called hippos, are gregarious, living in groups of up to 40 animals, called a pod, herd, school or bloat. A male hippo is known as a bull, a female, a cow, and a baby, a calf. A hippo's lifespan is typically 40 to 50 years. Female hippos will reach sexual maturity at 5 to 6 years, and have a gestation period of 8 months.

Hippos average 3.5 metres (11 ft) long, 1.5 m (5 ft) tall at the shoulder, and weigh from 1500 kg to 3200 kg (3,300 to 7,000 lb). They are approximately the same size as the White Rhinoceros, and experts are split on which is the next largest land animal after the elephant. Male hippos appear to continue growing throughout their lives, whereas the females reach a maximum weight at around the age of 25. Females are smaller than their male counterparts, and normally weigh no more than 1500 kg. The value given above of 3200 kg is often quoted as being the upper limit of weight for a male hippo. However, larger specimens than this have been documented, including one which weighed about 4545 kg (10,000 lb) and measured about 4.86 m (16 feet) long. Even though they are bulky animals, hippopotamuses can run faster than a human on land. There are estimates of their running speed varying from 30 km/h (18 mph) to 40 km/h (25 mph), or even 48 km/h (30 mph). The hippo can maintain these higher estimates for only a few hundred metres (yards).

Probably enough to catch up with most humans though, so I think I WON'T choose being run over by a herd 4 ton animals...

I would take the hippopotami in the belief that as herbivores they would turn their noses up at me if they caught me up.

Depends on how long the flight is. I wouldn't last a second being chased down the street as I can run fast for the hell of me! Not smelling through my nose for a few hours wont hurt me as bad thought it would definately suck.

I'd rather sir next to a hippo with B O on a flight at least we wouldn't get into a fight over the smell ( They don't speak English you know).

While it would definitely be an interesting experience to be chased by hippos, I think I'd take the smelly person. There's one thing worse than getting the smelly person - and that's getting the nutter.

Now you can have some fun with this. Start off all friendly, "Have you been on a plane before? I've never been on a plane before. I'm not scared though. My cousin went on a plane before and he could see the tops of mountains. I like mountains, do you like mountains?" and so on. Then you can "discover all the great stuff under your seat, like the life jacket, the sick bag etc. and share the experience with your stinky neighbour.

Next you should move on to a little singing (badly), encouraging your smelly neighbour to do the hand movements for Agadoo and the macarana...

Later, you can move onto cupping your genitals while saying loudly, "You can't touch me there. It's rude to touch people in the private place, unless they want you to. I don't want you to. You smell bad."

The thing is, in this politically correct age, nobody can do anything about a mentally ill person just being themselves. So long as you don't yell a loud of swear words, or physically attack anyone, there's nothing they can do about your oddness. And when you say "you smell bad" - let's face it, other people are going to have noticed, so how much sympathy are they going to get?

AstralFairy
I'd rather be chased definitely

sit next to someone with bad BO, as I'd tell them and request the flight attendants help in moving them or me to another seat.

IloveMarmite
I'd sit next to the person on the flight because I would point blank refuse to sit next to them citing their smell as the problem and reckon I could wangle it that they would have to move...not me!!!

tony r
bad bo is kind of cool you can get a buzz off it

starz
with the 2nd one,i have the option of changing my seat...

sambo
Take the hippo's every time

sx_rx_rocknroll
