Most people who fly 1st class are either corporate executives who write the flight off, frequent flyers who have upgraded or very wealthy people who don't worry about having extra spending money when they get to their destination. With trans-oceanic flights costing as much as $10,000 or more for a 1st class seat , it's pretty much a no-brainer to me. With the money I save by flying economy I could buy a house in many of the places I travel to, and I did, in Bangkok,Thailand. 1st class travel sure is nice though, but unless I'm upgraded, it's just not worth the money for someone like me. |

i'll settle for economy class- (asia- london 18hr stretch) and keep the change for...
a good spa or massage...
upgrade my room to superior....
order a limousine from airport to city....
or more money for trinkets and tourist tshirts hehehe |

I would rather spend more on things that are really different or something that i would like to experience in a different country. |

More spending money. I could eat drink and be merry to forget about the cramped seats. |

If it is a long flight yes i would pay more and have less spending money but for short flights no. |

No, I'd rather have more spending money. First class will cost atleast a few hundred dollors more, and basically to fly first class to me isnt worth $100 or more per hour, when that several hundred dollors could be spent doing fun things. |

Dearest Samantha,
Unless you have some medical condition (like severe back pain) fly economy and get a nice hotel with good beds and amenities. If you are flying outside of the US, try to book an economy flight with the country you are flying into. They usually have non-stops and better food and service. |

I would never fly first class because it's much too expensive. However, if I travel to New Zealand again I'll book business class. |

After my last flying experience on US Airways last year, yes I would fly First Class, even if it costs a lot more.
Also it really depends on how long your flight time is. A two hour flight is nothing! But a five or six or more hour flight can be excruciating! |
