Flying is a lot safer than driving.

More people die in car accidents in one year, than all of the deaths from airplane crashes since the history of manned flight. Drive safe to the airport and you'll be fine.

Your chances of dying in the air are exponentially less than those of dying in a car crash on the way to the airport.
Relax.
I've flown dozens of times; once transatlantic to London, 14 hours. Not a single incident. You'll be fine.

Air travel is the safest mode of transportation there is. The chances of even being in an accident is smaller then the chance of being in a car accident on a 5 minute drive. More people will be injured or killed in one week in car accidents world wide, than in over 25 years of airtravel.
So the chances that anything might happen to you is preeeetttyyyyy smaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll.

Enjoy the senery, enjoy the trip.

Chance of dying on a flight? About one in over 3 million. You've got a better chance of hitting a royal flush in poker twice.

Mind over matter.......If you believe you are not scared, then you are NOT scared! Keep telling that to yourself: "I am NOT scared!"

Between now & Friday:
1. think positive - there are more than 1,000 flights worldwide that just landed safely within the last 30 minutes. Isn't that a good testament to air safety?
2. think positive - there are over a million people worldwide in the air travel industry (pilots/flight attendants) and they have been flying everyday for many. many years and they are still very much alive!

On travel day:
1. take one of those calming pills
2. arrive early in the airport and people watch - see if you could pick out the sexiest butt!
3. sleep through your flight
4. you're gonna be okay!

I'll see you at your arrival, okay?

Are you serious?? Think of how many flights go out each day and how many times do you hear of commercial planes crashing? It is very rare you have more of a chance of dying in a car accident. FYI you spell wut like this- What.

you'll be fine. Just relax and don't think about dying on friday.

There are more car accidents then plane crashes.

Swami Ibme
The record of air plane safety is very good. You are far safer in a plane than in a car. Statistics show that between 1990 and 1999, 915 planes of all types crashed in this country. 708 people died in these crashes but 74% of all people in plane crashes lived. The odds of being killed in a plane crash are only 1 in 25,000,000.

It's really not as bad as you're probably thinking so when you return from your trip, please let us know how it went for you - share the experience!
