It depends...
Compared to other Latin American countries where the majority of people are of mixed indegenous decent and a small percentage of European decent; Argentina is the other way around. From Cia.gov "white (mostly Spanish and Italian) 97%, mestizo (mixed white and Amerindian ancestry), Amerindian, or other non-white groups 3% ". So you get an idea of how this differs from other Latin American countries, these are the stats for Mexico- mestizo (Amerindian-Spanish) 60%, Amerindian or predominantly Amerindian 30%, white 9%, other 1% .
As an Argentinean I consider myself to be Latin American but also White. However, I do know other Argentineans that don't consider themselves to be Latin American. This is because our ethnic makeup is more similar to Europe, so some people don't see any similarities between themselves and Latin American people.
As far as nazi idealogies... well, they were not started in Argentina. However, I regret to say that in that time there were SOME people that supported such ideas. On the other hand, we also have a huge Jewish population whom obviously did not support such ideas; not to mention huge amounts of people that saw nazi idealogies as ridiculous and hateful JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD. Moreover, Argentina was a neutral country during WWII and this served as an immigration portal for many people in Europe escaping the atrocities of war and hate; as NY was in the US. Yes, there were also some nazis that escaped to Argentina but that doesn't mean the people of the country supported this. They escaped and try to blend amongst our people... but this also happened in the USA and many other countries. (FYI, I am Argentinean but also an American resident and I love this country; I am in no way attempting to speak badly of the US) |

They are caucasion for the most part.
During WWII, the Spanish, Germans, and Itlaians were all part of the Axis. Those countries also provided the majority of the population in Argentina too, so you'd expect there to be sentiments for their home countries.
At one time, the English had almost colonized Argentina, but they were kicked out, so there wasn't much favor for England in the war either. England still has the Malvinas Islands (Falklands) and the Argentines invaded in 1982. |

i hate putting people into racial categories but as far as ive seen Argies are white yes. some have darker features than your average european, but then again look at the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese
it is definitely the "whitest" country in that part of the world anyway.
as for the nazi idealogy thing, its the first i've heard of it but i'm going to look into it. |

Yes, most Argentinians are of European descent. Many have ancestors from Spain and/or Italy, so it's more southern Europe. There's also a large sized population of native people, many in the northern part of the country. But I think most people in Argentina are considered to be caucasian. |
