The University of Buenos Aires (Universidad de Buenos Aires) is by far the most prestigious. Its only downside is that physical infrastructure (buildings, classrooms, computers, etc) is not very well up kept.

Then come some of the private universities that have been gaining popularity and academic recognition in the last decade:
St. Andrew's (Universidad de San Andres),
Di Tella University (Universidad Di Tella) and
Austral (Universidad Austral)
in that order.

Most foreigners, however, choose among these (mainly because they may look nicer / more fun or have more publicity in the international media and more exchange programs):
University of Belgrano (Universidad de Belgrano),
Argentine Catholic University (Unviersidad Catolica Argentina),
UADE (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa),
UCEMA (Universidad del CEMA).

well there's UCA (catholic univrsity of argentina), it's quite prestigious. it has a good estrucure, but can be a bit expensive.

also UBA it's a good public university, it's free. the bad thing it's that there are lots of students in class, the teachers don't respect much the students and the etrucutre it's bad and dirty.

then there's Palermo University, but it's not too good. it's a 5 out of 10.

also the university depends on the careear you are looking for, some are specialized acording to what you are looking for.
ex: hotel managment: you could go to Vatel.

hope you find this helpfull.
