i think that ^ website will help you very much.

I can't give you an interesting fact about Argentina because everything about Argentina is interesting. the people are wonderful, the food is amazing, and the culture is priceless. Argentina is like no other country, it has a bit of europe in it but yet still maintains its own culture.

Regarding empanadas is difficult to give you just one receipt as each Argentinean province has got its own receipt. First of all, empanadas are just of meat (you will see jam & cheese, chicken, etc... but these are just modern inventions). The real meat empanadas are made of lomo (not just any meat) and the lomo must be cut in dices with a knife. You would mix it with potato, olives, egg, onion, and, if you like, some pepper and cook it before putting it into the empanada's masa that you will close and cook in the oven.

Regarding important facts you might find useful to know that the buses were invented in Argentina as well as the alambre de puas...

Ciao ;o)
Argentina is a great country...people are nice and friendly (and this is one of the best thing), food is great, life is cheap, landscapes are super (I went hiking in Patagonia last year...wonderful) Empanadas are nothing if you consider what Argentina can offer you...But...Empanadas + Asado + Parilla + + + + ....that's great!!! I am thinking to move there :o) At least for a while. I show you some link with some videos of Buenos Aires I did and of My trekking in Patagonia too .
