You now have to have a passport to enter any country from the US, including Canada and Mexico. They Changed the law about that a couple of years ago. Customs should be able to tell you exactly what you will need |

You do need a visa if your are just transitting through Argentina to some other country. Even in the case that you decide to get down in Argentina you can get a visa on arrival. |

With the possible exception of Canada and Mexico, YES. Take it. You WILL need it. |

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for visits of up to 90 days for tourism and business. |

Hello,
I'm a US citizen living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You DO NOT need a visa to visit Argentina and if you go over the 90 days as a tourists it's not a problem either. Argentina is very flexible with visitors. So don't worry, come and visit Argnetina. I don't know why the people who answered first are not aware of this!
Anyway. visit www.minihostels.com They have many hostels in Buenos Aires, and all over Argentina and South America. If you don't want to spend all you money on expensive hotels just visit us and check out out available hostels. Some are even less than 10 dollars per night.
Again, you do not need a visa to travel to Argentina. |

The only countries in SOuth America you need a visa are Brazil, Paraguay, soon Bolivia (if they can get their act straight), sort of Chile (you pay a fee at the airport) if you arrive by air. Nowhere else, maybe Venezuela soon, though based on their bombastic leader. |

No you will not need to have a visa on you I go to Argentina quite a bit and there is no visa required simply take your passport and it will be stamped with a 90 days stay limit. |
