yes, but they are called "villas" or "villa miseria". If you go to Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza, Rosario, or any other medium or large Argentine city, ask the locals about which bus lines to take so you can see them (if you are brave enough). I invite you to visit as well some gated communities or "barrios privados"- Argentina has a very high index of economic inequality (gini index) Visit wikipedia page for world map. It is such a shame for us; we used to be a society with a lot of social mobility- now look at us. |

yeah, unfortunatly... we call it villas (from villas miserias)... i've recently moved near one of them the villa 21-24... i'm just one block near it and, i tell you... there are lots of murders, rapes and drugs... horrible..
i can't leave my house after 6 in the afternoon!
