Good jobs in Buenos Aires- please help? |
I am thinking about moving to Argentina for at least a year. I'm just worried about finding a good job- are there decent-paying jobs down there available to English speakers? While I could always teach English, I'd rather do something more challenging that will really give me good experience and references. I'm especially interested in something either health or humanitarian related. Does anyone know how I should go about looking for a job? I don't really know where to look. And do you know of general kinds of jobs that would be fitting for me?
(By the time I go there I will have a degree in English from a really good school, and my grades are very good. My Spanish is not fluent but quite good, and I'm fluent in French if it would be useful.)
¡Muchos gracias! |

Dear Kalibasa, There no too many jobs , but you can find some asking for good english. Look at boomeran.com, that is the bigest site of employment in Argentina. You can go to clarin.com and look at the jobs posting in the www.empleos.clarin.com . Always there are some opening but my guess for you would be easy if you are going with some contact about some position. You can try at www.icana.org.ar , since ICANA is the cultural institute argentina- usa they are always asking for USA native american speakers for teaching in conversational groups. If they have not a position at this time send them an email, they have a" Bolsa de trabajo " where different employes put posting, ask them for recommendation about different posibilities.
If I can help you with more information I will be glad |

First but it's not an insult, is Muchas gracias. I'm from Argentina and i recommend you to work in a place where they need a person who speaks a lot of languages, like restaurants or in the malls in Buenos Aires, like (Galerias PacÃfico).
I let you some words and phrases:
remera (T-shirt)
che (we use this word to call somebody, for example: che, mati que hora es?/ che, Mati what time is it? )
Factura/s (it's not a ticket, is a food that we use to eat in breakfast or in the afternoon)
Alfajor (it's a sweet that has dulce de leche that you can eat in anytime of the day)
Dulce de Leche
I don't remember other words, sorry
if you have some other questions ask me
sorry for my english
suerte!!!!!!!!!!! |
