Well Mirna, the ones I've always done are the ones offered in the hotel. I mean the city tour is a must (casa Rosada, Catedral, cabildo, La Boca, recoleta, etc) and it doesnt matter which company as most hotels work with one or two tour companies and they are ok. Then I would strongly recommend you do the Estancia Santa Susana tour where they take youto a real argentinian estancia to see the gauchos riding horses and then you have a great parrilla (bbq) and you see some folklore dances, listen to Tango, etc.
One of the things you must do is go to San Telmo on a sunday as in Plaza Dorrego they have the antique fair every sunday and you can find real treasures for little money. Plus there are free tango shows on the street that day for tourists to enjoy.
You also need to go to do the tour of Teatro Colon, it is an impressive theatre with a beautiful architecture.
And in Recoleta cementary you'll find Eva Peron's tomb if you fancy visiting that too.
I love BA, been so many times (even worked a couple of years there) and the food is just amazing plus cheap!

Matteo M
Check out the eva peron museum, go to puerto madero for fancy eating, go shoping at alto palermo shopping mall, or go to palermo soho area... great place to hang out, shop in cool stores and see new things....Did I mention the food is GREAT!!!!! try the Gelatos from Freddos or Un'altra volta(national ice cream chains)

If you have extra time, and cash, go to Ushuaia, the southern most city of the world. The place is out of control just beautiful.. (make sure you take sweaters... even if its the summer time)

Happy travels...
