That really depends from where you originate.

You do not want to exchange your home currency for currency other than Pesos or it will cost you an arm and a leg to exchange into either Dollars or Euros and then into Pesos. I think that most of the respondents should stop smoking crack.

Argentina has numerous outlets and well managed exchange facilities at banks to change your money. If you come from a small country check that exchange facilities are available in your currency by contacting your bank and asking them to put you in contact with their partner in Argentina.

If you come from the US, bring Dollars or If you have Euros bring Euros, the exchange rate does not matter, you are best to trade in your currency of origin unless you happen to have spare Euros hanging around.

There is a limit of $300 a day on cash machines so travellers' cheques are your safest bet.

Check out http://www.buenosairesstay.com for up to the minute exchange rates and more travel information.

Right now, the exchange rate is better for Euros. See website below to chck for yourself.

I'd imagine USdollars would be better.

But they might not accept them everywhere, you should really make the effort to get the local currency.

You wouldn't expect people from Europe to try and use Euro's in USA, why should it be any different?
