Has anyone from the UK lived in Buenos Aires?

I am interested in hearing from anyone who is from the UK who may have lived in Buenos Aires for 3 or 6 months or more. Is it a neat place to live? Are the people nice generally? How does it compare to living in the UK? What do people get paid on average?
Thanks guys :-)

Mrs. Obama rules!
My best friend is from the UK and she has been living for 15 years in Buenos Aires together with all her family. That thing about Argentinians hating british for the Falkand islands is rubbish! There are many British schools and british families living there, I have been to their houses and they have a wonderful relationship with argentinians.
About living there, Buenos Aires looks like any european city and was quite expensive a couple of years before but due to Menem's corrupted government it is actually cheap for europeans to live there.
About salaries, it all depends on where you work. It is much better if you work for a big international company and be paid in dollars as there is quite a shortage of working opportunities at the moment.
But if you have the opportunity, go and live there, you'll love it.

Remember the following sentence: "Las malvinas son Argentinas", and say it as much as possible (that way they will like you )
