No, it is still out of service until July 2008. The original project was to put it to work again in the beginning of March 2008, but the constant rains has delayed the maintenance jobs.

I'm not sure if they have support in English, because the web page is only in Spanish.

There are some expeditions to go to the "Viaducto La Polvorilla", using the National Route 51, where you can see parts of the railroads and the bridges.

Anyway if you go to Salta don't forget to visit the MAAM museum (Museo Arqueológico de Alta Montaña) where are the Child of Llullaillaco, three Inca mummy founded in the region and conserved at 22 degrees Celsius under zero in perfect state.
