4 months is a great amount of time to spend in Buenos Aires - any less and you might only see the touristy neighborhoods! I think learning Spanish is the best thing to do while you here...and maybe some volunteering too. In terms of Spanish - I recommend Alem Spanish School - a lot of the classes can be walking tours and the teachers are hilarious and professional...email me for more details on that. For accommodations I suggest staying in an apartment - especially since you will be here for so long, a hotel or hostel will get very expensive and you will spend every night partying till dawn...which unfortunately does get old! There are hundreds of apartments to rent in Palermo , Recoleta and the Center which are the more touristy spots and also apartments in neighborhoods called Chacarita and Belgrano which are less touristy. I suggest you read up on them online to see which one will fit your personality and goals - look at http://www.buenosairesstay.com to read about the neighborhoods and they also have information on renting apts, weather, travel tours and attractions.

Please email me if you have specific questions! Your landing could be bumpy and Id love to help make it as soft as possible! You'll love it here.

The Buenos Aires Pub Crawl
Ive heard a lot of good things about a program called Expanish. They have a lot of activities they do, have housing options, and i have met a few people that have gone through it and they all loved it. The website is www.expanish.com.
Buenos Aires is an amazing city and you will see that 4 months just isnt enough to take it all in. If you are looking to party then you should come hang out with us on the Buenos Aires Pubcrawl. Check out our site.
Hope this helps, enjoy your stay!
