You need to buy an unblocked cell phone, at least triband. You can find several offers on Ebay. I have bought myself a couple for travel to Argentina and had no problem going to any Telecom Personal or Movicom store and buying a SIM card there. You can choose purchasing either a monthly plan or just a $10-$20 phone card (I have no idea what are the current prices) to use as long as you need, and just buy another one once it's finished! |

A triband phone will work in most areas. I have a movistar sim card and it worked so far for me everywhere in Europe, USA, all Latinamerica (except Ecuador for some reason that I dont know), but did not work in north Africa (Libia). So it depends. If it is Argentina and Europe, movistar will do. |

Make sure it uses a sim card as well, as almost every country uses sim cards besides outside the US. |
