Is there anyway I can cash a check here in AR?

I lost my debit card and my bank provider (wells fargo) is going to send me another one, in the mean time, I would have to somehow find a way to cash a check here in Argentina.

I went into one branch and they said no. I'm only an American citizen. What do I do?

No partner for Well Fargo in Argentina.

Only option to someone wire you via:

Western Union
http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp

or
Money Gram
http://www.moneygram.com/index.htm

they can do it via internet with a credit card and you can pick-up in 5 minutes. Own shops at Western Union, local mail post for MoneyGram.

What bank was your card with? What bank is your checking with? CALL your bank in the states and ask if they have a partner bank in Argentina and if they do, what bank it is. If they do have a partner bank, you could go to one of their branches and probably cash a check. That works here in Mexico. Do you have a credit card or American Express card with you? If you do, you can Call them and ask for a PIN number, then you can use that card in an ATM machine toget a cash advance from the card. Or, you could go to the nearest American embassy and ask for help. See website below. This is the reason it is always best to have two different ATM cards when you travel. Good luck.
