My husband and I want to visit Buenos Aries?

after seeing the Today show this week we want to go. Can we do it on our own? Should we go on a guided tour like Colette? Can we hire a guide?

You can definitely do it on your own! Or you can take an excursion or two once you´re in Buenos Aires.
There´s so much to do and see.
A good place for ideas is:

I hope you enjoy your trip and someday maybe you´ll return for the rest of Argentina. It´s really worth visiting. Good luck!

If you are experienced travelers, you can perfectly do it on your own. Maybe you will want to hire a tour guide or a city tour on the first days to get an overall feeling of the city and then come back on your own to the places you want to visit in particular.
There are lots of things to do in Buenos Aires, great museums, bars, restaurants, shopping malls, and historic sites.
Buenos Aires is a great city for walking and you can do it with a good city map. Taxis are also very inexpensive to move around.
You will love Buenos Aires.

Do it on your own.
Buy a good travel guide, ie. Fodors and do your research to enjoy the most.
Lots to see and travel across!
