Travel to Iguazu Falls?

I'm in Buenos Aires and I am looking to travel to Iguazu Falls (the Argentine side only) in the middle of November for 3 days. Does anybody know where I can find a cheap travel deal for this trip?

The above poster referring to the bus trips is dead right, but it can be challenging to work that out for yourself. It's a lot easier to check in to a youth hostel, then ask them to make the arrangements. I'm providing a link to a great place to stay where the staff will provide that service for you, and also a place to stay when you return. Highly recommended!

A low cost option is to take an overnight bus from Retiro terminal in Buenos Aires. There are several companies, e.g. Tigre Iguazú ( http://www.tigreiguazu.com.ar/ ). You leave Buenos Aires in the evening (e.g. 20:00) and arrive the next day noon (12:45) to Puerto Iguazú. To use your time better, you may consider getting off in Posadas first (Museo Anibal Cambas - http://www.welcomeargentina.com/paseos/museo_regional_anibal_cambas/index.html ), then make a short tour of Jesuit ruins San Ignacio Miní ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Ignacio_Mini ) and arrive at Puerto Iguazú in the evening. Next morning, you go to the waterfalls, spend the whole day there (one day is the right time to see them from all angles) and take another overnight bus back. Alternatively, on the following day, you may see the waterfalls from the Brazilian side or enter Paraguay (Ciudad del Este - optionally other Jesuit reductions - Encarnación - then back to Posadas, Argentina).

The waterfalls are amazing, you will enjoy them. You may take a look at my experience - http://railtrips.euweb.cz/c_arg_day1_en.html (Posadas, San Ignacio Mini) and http://railtrips.euweb.cz/c_arg_day1_en.html (Iguazú).

And for completeness, the cheapest and coolest way to get there is by train - BsAs Federico Lacroze departure 10:50 am (Tuesdays and Fridays), Posadas arrival 12:50 pm next day, 39 AR$ one way, info: http://www.trenesdellitoral.com.ar/horarios.htm and http://www.sateliteferroviario.com.ar/horarios/ . However, if you only have 3 days, you'd better take a bus (about 90 AR$ to Posadas and another 20 - 30 to Puerto Iguazú one way).

Enjoy your trip!!
