The true joining point for foods of street sale, nevertheless, is the South Costanera, located in the other side of Port Log This, all their length includes the length of the channel and the ecological reserve. In the days of week the gastronomical supply is very similar to the one of its homologous one of the north, although with some options more (the occasional appearance of you cut of lamb or chicken) - but the week ends are when the variety really grows: the omnipresent carts barbecuers are united by small positions temporary that serve a variety as typical foods of the North region of the country - of everything, from locro (maize, pumpkin, meat and inserted spanish stews) to bread with pieces of chicharrón (greasy of fried pig). Also in syntony with Buenosairean goloso, there is a sudden appearance of positions of rebosantes dessert sale of different varieties from cakes, cakes, and other candies, a complete range of coffees, all this throughout the Costanera. This it is a place where the families come to enjoy the free air, to share a lunch, to see some street artist, and to perhaps walk a little by the reserve. Nevertheless for the extreme fanatics of street foods east is not more than one long table of banquet.

The beauty about this place is that you can walk into almost anywhere and have a delicious meal. it's really amazing how good the food is. i'd recommend walking around a safer neighborhood, say recoleta or palermo and just stop at whatever restaurant catches your eye. Any suggestion for a "lesser known" place will just be that weeks underrated restaurant, which will soon be next weeks overrated restaurant. So, do yourself a favor and discover a place for yourself. BA is a city where you don't need a guidebook- the main attractions are the culture and the atmosphere. everybody is very nice, so if you get lost or want a suggestion, just ask somebody on the street. Hope this was helpful, and happy traveling!!! |
