Pros? Great country with so much to see and do (jungle? check, glaciers? check again!) , mostly friendly people, great exchange rate for the dollar right now. BUT: beware unfortunately lately there´s a rising criminality. Abductions, robbery, are not abnormal anymore. Be careful and if possible, go with organized tour excursions. I wouldn´t recommend you rent a car, driving is very agressive in the cities and roads are not well signaled either.
Hope you enjoy your trip.

its a great country - always good to speak a little of the language, hire a very good car so it does not break sone and be prepared to go off your itinerary as there is lots to see.
Good roads, lots of touristy attractions but more original ones as well. There are some long drives depedning on where you are heading with not mcuh to see and do so plan your itinerary carefully - i find the rough guides invaluable and very regularly updated
I love it there - especially if you love horses - the polo is fab and the guachos are so friendly drinking and sharing their matte
