What do you think or know about argentina?

Hi everyone. Just want to read some interesting thoughts about my country. But first things first:
1- we DO NOT LIKE Diego Maradona. We actually hate him. We're sick of him. Very few people here worship him, but that's about it. I know he cheated in that world cup game, so let's leave that aside.
2- the falklands are yours. It's just going to take some getting used to... give us a couple more years to adjust to the fact that those incredibly beautiful and rich islands don't belong to us anymore, ok?
Do you think we're friendly? What do you think about argentinean women?? Food? wines? tango?

I spent a year there and loved it, I travelled around most of the North and the Centre, then spent 7 months living and working in Rosario.
About Maradona first :) There's just no equivalent here in Britain, maybe George Best is the closest (if there are any Brits reading this and want to know just how big Maradona is in Argentina!).
Regarding the Falklands, I was never, EVER, challenged on this subject once, it was only ever brought up when people wanted to know my opinion. Saying that it's obviously a much bigger issue in Argentina than in Britain, although some British can get bothered about it.
I thought that you Argentines were incredibly friendly, also very warm, sociable and genuinely interested in hearing about Europe. The food is really good, I love Italian food and beef too, but there isn't the variety that you get in Britain (in terms of having food from all over the world...China, India, etc.), and the wine was great, as is the beer! I don't know too much about the tango, but like listening to it...I can't dance!!
Finally...I have never been to a place where the women are so pretty! Especially in Rosario I must add!
I liked Argentina so much I almost stayed there for good, forever! I really miss it and I can't wait to go back!

In few words, Argentina for me is Buenos Aires, La Boca, Evita Person, Spanish with hard accent; Football is your game. Tango - you guys underestimate it as part of the culture while lots of people from the rest of the world are crazy about it. Farms, wine, steak - arguably the best.

First, let me just say that I would love to live in Argentina, and someday I will.... (I am American)

I know that the food of Argentina is delicious.
Buenos Aires is HUGE!
Bariloche has some of the best skiing in the world.
The women are BEAUTIFUL.
The men are horny.
The accent makes me want to learn spanish.
I know that the Argentine futbol team is better than the Brazilian one.
And I know that I am in love with an Argentine..

Argentina ROCKS!

I dont know very much about Argentina but here goes to the few things I either know or think!
1. You breed the most beautiful Falabella miniture horses, and your horsemanship is very good.
2. I dont think you like the Brits, so would never holiday there.
3. I think your have had some bad political leaders, and I remember lots of mothers parading outside somewhere with banners wondering what happened to their sons.
Having said all that, you sound like a very nice person!

I was in Argentina on board a Royal Naval Warship 2 years after the Falklands war which i was in from start to finish and the thing i remember most is how the corrupt police force would hold guns to the belly's of loads of our ship mates returning to the ship after a night out and robbing them of all there possessions.
It got so bad the UK consulate had to speak with your powers to be and bring it to a stop.

Never been but will do one day, my thoughts are lots of football hooligansim, lots of italian descendants, a small welsh enclave somewhere near the mountains, home to a few nazi's, politically unstable, problems with the currency a couple of years ago, good ski-ing, er thats about it.
