It all depends on your budget. If money is not an issue, stay in Alvear Palace Hotel which is simply the best, NY standards. If not, try Hotel Faena or Hyatt in Puerto Madero or go to Recoleta and stay in Lois Suites. Those are the best according to me. Lived 3 years in BA, have travelled 7 times there in total. |

Hi,
welcome to Argentina, the best place to stay is las cañitas very closed to palermo, the area its beautiful and very safe, you have boulevards, restaurants and many pubs and bars.
walking 5 blocks you have palermo hollywood and palermo soho.
las cañitas is ideal for family and for young people.
I work in real state with the owner apartments, the prices are different for example if you want a premier apartment one are: 699 USd weekly and 1669 monthly ( 2 bedrooms, full silver kitchen, design and art, wifi, cable, refrigerator with fruits, snaks, caviar, mineral water) heated floors, internet access, cellphone, free airport transfers, maid service ( optional).
or one duplex: 399 USD weekly and 1099 monthly, these two apartments were renovated by owner.and has the same services than the first that I mencionated.
but has one bedroom ( sleep two people) and swimmingpool on the toproof.
or cheaper budgets aparments.
and where to go:
san telmo,palermo,congreso,downtown,retiro,p... madero,la boca,monserrat,recoleta and barrio norte.
this is our website: you have articles about buenos aires, restaurants suggestions, and everything that you need for your trip.

Buenos Aires Guide

Palermo Viejo: Tour, travel, apartment, hotel & city guide Buenos Aires
Palermo Viejo or old Palermo is home to the trendsetting bars and clubs, great eating and the best shopping in Buenos Aires. I love this part of Buenos Aires, it is where I tend to spend far too many evenings and know far too many bartenders and shop girls on first name terms. I intend to write about my favourite shops and bars later this year. So book mark this page. This part of Palermo is dissected in two by a railway track and multiple crossings that create Palermo Hollywood to the north and Palermo Soho to the south.
The north is a great residential neighbourhood and famed for TV and radio production. There are lots of very quiet residential streets and this area is chosen by many of our clients who prefer quality dwellings, peace and quiet right next door to party Palermo Soho.
We have tons of great apartments and houses in these two areas and no matter what sort of Buenos Aires Stay you intend, Palermo has got to be top of your where to stay list. It is expensive, but still great value. We have a constant battle with landlords over price, but supply and demand have made this one of the more expensive areas. Holidays come but once a year for most of us - this is well worth the extra Pesos. Click here to see luxury apartments in Buenos Aires best and safest barrios.
Palermo Soho is part of old Palermo and is a fantastic neighbourhood of smashing low rise buildings that extend from the leafy cobble stoned Plaza Serrano, also known as Plaza Cortázar. These expensively renovated buildings are home to some of the trendiest bars, international restaurants, art galleries, design studios and the trendy young crowds who frequent them. This neighbourhood is alive with Buenos Aires’ most vibrant nightlife with some of the best pubs and clubs and gay bars.
Palermo and Buenos Aires in general has embraced the pink Pesos and Buenos Aires is a gay friendly destination. We have more information on Gay Buenos Aires on the website.
Palermo Soho catches Buenos Aires’ great panache in the many boutiques that make this a shopper paradise. I often shop in Soho and stop for lunch at the many good eateries. I am always amazed by the quality and first-world designs offered by young Buenos Aires designers. If you have eaten your fill of barbecued meats, then you are definitely in the right area for great food. Please book mark this page as I will review some of my favourite Palermo Restaurants later in the year. Click here to read about Belgrano, Puerto Madero, Recoleta and San Telmo.
Not found an apartment in our listings? Do not worry! Buenos Aires Stay has lots of apartments off-line and we can search thousands of apartments through our carefully selected network of property partners. Let us do all the leg work.
You get the benefit of our local expertise and pay nothing until we find your ideal Buenos Aires apartment. |
