Jobs are not easy to find (for foreigners and for Argentinians).

Some places in Buenos Aires are not safe. Just don't go alone anywhere. Don't go about with all of your money in crowded places (e.g.: the subway, the centre, etc.). If you're going to take a taxi or "remisse", make sure it belongs to a registered company (you'll see a registration number, printed on the door).

Some places in Buenos Aires are particularly expensive (especially, near Santa Fe Ave., and in Palermo, Belgrano and those parts of the city). But other places are cheaper (Once, Almagro, etc.)

Outside Buenos Aires, the same applies. Ask in your hotel what places are safe, and don't worry as long as you stay in those places.

BY A BANANA BOAT?

try taca or aerolineas argentinas to buenos aires, then i recommend you to take regional fligth with austral. dont use buses or train unless you want to get robbed.

it depends on what season are you going, altough is very hard to find a job there for the argentinians you can get a job in any pub or restaurant that have a lot of foreigners, the situation is very hard try to avoid places that you are not familiar with.
try to find some friends and go out with them, never ALONE, dont be a hero.
stay in buenos aires a couple of weeks and run away from it, go to the south is safer and cheaper.
if you are serious i can give you more information, my brother lives there.
a good hotel is hotel 9 de julio, full of tourist and is in the downtown.
good luck

depending on where you are in the world , your best bet is to travel by airplane. travel within argentina is relatively save. and cheap.
paln your trip ahead and book your stays at hostils. they are cheap and you'll find people of oyur same age or intrest and make your selves company. if your looking for work and interested in staying in argentina, first establish a work visa. then what can i say the unemployment rate is a little high right now althogh it is lower than years past. any way god luck and safe trip.
