Public schools (and public UNIVERSITIES) in Argentina are owned by the government, so people have to pay nothing or almost nothing. There are basically two kinds of private schools:
-The ones that are economically supported by the government. In most of these cases, you have to pay about 20% of the monthly total. I go to one of those schools and pay $300 per month (US$100.-)
-The ones in which you have to pay the 100% each month.

If you have any doubts, feel free to ask me.

in Argentina we pay 10 pesos wich is 3 dollars and so for public school per month and privates you can pay from 100 dollars to 300 dollars a month
