I'm Argentinean living in Argentina and l like to travel so this is good information:
Low Season:
1.From March to June
2.From August to November
The opposite (high season)
1.January, February and December in that order. These are the summer and hollydays vacations
2.July is for winter vacations, but also in the turist winter places (like Bariloche, Patagonia sky's centers) it is considered high season untill the snow started to melt down, from late June to Firsts days of September.
Prices are high in these months and hotels are crowded...

If you're looking for a cheaper plane fare, you should go to Argentina during the winter, which is May through August. Now if you're in Panama, Copa Airlines doesn't vary the fare too much, however they may have a special someday available.
If you're in the US then check the different websites for a good offer, and get it.
