Where can I find carpincho chaps?

I was in Argentina last year and saw a woman wearing carpincho chaps while horseback riding. I searched all over while there and could not find any. I have been looking for over a year and still have not found them. Has anyone any info to help?

The best two places to buy carpincho chaps (or any carpincho good) is either Casa Lopez or La Martina. La Martina especializes in polo things but I've seen the carpincho chaps in Casa Lopez too (a bit expensive though).

where did you leave them?

Well the "carpincho" is indigenous of Argentina´s Mesopotamia. Also known as "capibara" in Brasil.

To-day is difficult to find "carpincho" leather products.

Also, are you sure it was "carpincho"? Sometimes, due to the leather process, "jabali" (or wild-boar) leather is used and looks, for the un-trained eye, similar.
