While I don't think there's anything wrong with living with your parents I also don't think it is very healthy to want to stay there forever and start building your own family under theirs.

I'm 21 and I've been blessed with amazing parents who would do anything they could for me if I really needed it but I moved out when I was 18 and have been very happy living on my own since then. Not that it hasn't been hard, cuz it's actually been really rough at times but I think my relationship with my parents is better for it and I love the way I can tell I've grown up a little more than some people I know who are still with their parents.

My advice... get out! Be your own person and you'll love yourself for it. Just don't forget to learn from your mistakes rather than dwell on them.

well it depends if you have enough money and if you are ready, it may be that you never move out cause you just want to help out or just be there to have fun

Kids living with parents is the way it is with most people in Malaysia, or at least if you're still college students. Not many
work part time to rent or own a place.

I've been living abroad for study and was alone without my parents around since i was 13 years old..and since then after high scool and college days are over..am still continue to live by myself until i'm over 21..and now already got married...so its been ages we separated and its made feel weird if i were to come and stay with my parents!....lol...but sometimes i do missed my mom's hug hug!...huhuhu

i'm 21...am still living with my parents on weekend only. i rent a house in shah alam near my college. and for the past 3 years ive been living in sarawak during diploma. so i think its cool that i have some independency and freedom while still being under their protective eyes. after all, i do need some weekly allowance. ptptn hasnt approved my loan application yet.

I moved out the moment i came back from studies. And the best part is far away from them.

Parents in Ipoh, me in KL. So the moment I left for college I was on my own but during term breaks and public holidays I would go back to Ipoh. Now after graduation I live with my b.f., we both rent a place together and are planning to buy a house together.

Say what?
living separately since i was 18. But I try to see them often.

#1 Girl -She's Bittersweet-
At 21, I've moved out from my parents'.

It's cool.

And yeah... I don't want to live with my lover's parents. It's not that I don't like them.. I'm just trying to avoid arguments and misunderstandings. It's for the goodness of all.

=)

After high school, I lived independantly (but came back once a while during weekends to pass / take stuffs).

But during Deg. years time, came bck to live wth them full time due to finance, transport, safety security & various convenience.
Whn. I was in my teens, my ultimate goal was to live far far away frm my family.
But now, althought I still prefer to live alone, but wouldn't like to be too far frm. my parents coz. they're getting older & not doing well in health (easier to jenguk) sometimes. My parent's ok. just the some of the siblings I can't stand.

If my gf/bf. don't want to live along w.them.
Thn better prepare yourself financially & mentally before marriage for a house elsewhere.
Most married couple nowadays prefer tht way; due to compatiblitiy reasons, freedom & etc.

By the time I turned 21, I had already had a closing on my first house with my fiancee, was planning a wedding, and finishing college. I would definitely say no to living with the parents after married. If you're not married, I suppose to each his own - people tell me I grew up too fast anyhow.
